We have changed our name

We were the Pontycymer Men's Shed but at our AGM, members voted to change our name to the Garw Valley Men's Shed. It was felt that we need to show ourselves as covering the whole valley and not just Pontycymer.
We have moved

We have now moved to the Llangeinor Football Club (see our Contact Us details) where we meet every Wednesday between 10am and Noon.
Llangeinor offers us better facilities with indoor or outdoor seating, depending on the weather.
Gerald Howe

It is with sadness that our treasured Member Gerald, passed away at home on the evening of 1st July 2023
He joined us at our first meeting in January at the Llangeinor FC and quickly be came a valued member.
He was together with myself, the inspiration behind the Shed donating planters and plants to the Llangeinor FC to brighten up their frontage. He then went on to care for them every day. RIP Gerald

Gordon Farmer

It is with sadness that our treasured Member Gordon, passed away at home on the 30th March 2024
He joined us at our first meeting in March 2019 at the OAP Centre in Pontycymer and quickly be came a valued member.
He will always be remembered for his fabulous drawings and his famous Toe -Nail wine. RIP Gordon.
